VIDEO: Adventure Day on Cape Cod

Back in February, Natalie and I set out from her hometown of Plymouth, Massachusetts on an ‘Adventure Day.’

Adventure Days can be best understood as a day with generalized plan, but little or no direction, time constraints, or expectations. Adventure days are governed by non-governance; by chance; by happenstance.  We blow with the wind, drive with the sun, and wander paths. We stop to look, to smell, to taste.

An Adventure Day is a practice in being free.

With new desires to explore our own backyard of New England, we set off to Adventure on Cape Cod.  Armed with my trusty iPhone, a few bucks, and a picnic lunch, we jumped in Natalie’s car “Shenalei” and took the long road east.

We both filmed along the way, documenting our discoveries (as we tend to do), and now, a few months later, I’ve edited them together.
