Squeeky Cheese – (Tillamook, OR)

The Tillamook Cheese factory was incredible!

Firstly, we LOVE cheese. Coupled with some fruit/veggies and a baguette, it is the perfect road-tripping food – cheap, easy, healthy, and filling!

Secondly, factories are so fascinating! As we watched from the glass viewing area raised above the main factory, I was enthralled by the perfectly engineered machinery, and how the workers became a part of this big machine in motion.

Thirdly, munching on cheese curds, aptly nicknamed “Squeeky Cheese”, is the most delicious and entertaining cheese experience I have ever had. Please see below to share in the joy.

Note: Cheese curds are fresh, young cheddar cheese in the natural, random shape and form before being processed into blocks and aged. Fresh curds squeak against the teeth when bitten into, a defining characteristic, due to air trapped inside their porous bodies.
